Passionate Chapman Valley Football Club volunteer James Cassin has been crowned as a ‘Beating Hearts National Hero’ after being recognised for his unrivalled support to the club.

Co-ordinated by the Good Sports program run by representatives from the Alcohol and Drug Foundation, the result has seen James earn $3000 for the Valley, along with $1000 put towards a family cruise to Fiji next year.

Sporting club members were able to nominate their hero via the campaign website and encouraged to share their nomination via social media. James received a whopping 1649 votes.

A young man who will do anything for his beloved Royals, James often volunteers as a goal umpire, in the canteen or runs water out to the players.
