Call for EOI from people with disability 

Position: Chief Executive Officer

Closing Date: Monday, 16 January, 2016

As part of its commitment to succession planning, the Arts Access Australia, (AAA),  board is seeking expressions of interest from people with disability interested in being considered as potential candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer, (CEO). This position is likely to become available within the next twelve months.

About AAA:

AAA is Australia’s national peak body for arts and disability. We work to increase opportunities and access for people with disability as artists, arts-workers, participants and audiences. Our members include the state arts and disability organisations as well as individuals and organisations with an interest in the arts and disability sector. The organisation receives four-year funding from the Australia council for the Arts from 2017-2020 and recently secured a grant of $100,000 to undertake an artistic exchange program with Berlin

About the Role:

The CEO leads a small team working across a range of locations. The role of the CEO is to manage all aspects of AAA’s day-to-day operations. The CEO reports directly to the board. The position is part-time at 30  hours per week. AAA offers a  competitive salary package, including superannuation and salary packaging. Access to mentoring and professional development is also provided.
Applicants will need to be experienced managers with demonstrated skills in disability advocacy. The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including members, arts and cultural organisations and funders will be essential. The applicant will need to be able to work independently and manage staff remotely. A knowledge of the arts and cultural sector would also be an advantage.
